Review of 3 Sula Paint and Peels,
August 14, 2010 Where - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sula Beauty Paint & Peel Nail Color-Melon, 0.5 oz (Misc.)
I was careful to buy the Sula Paint and Peels which lasted 6 months, instead of the ones which last for 24. Sulas with a 6-month lasting period, I've discovered, are much thicker and nearly never streak when applied with a steady hand. Conversely, those which last for 24-months seem ridden with various streaking problems (based off my limited experience with only two 24 month bottles, but some of my friends have reported similar cases). The two types can be told apart based on the description on the bottle's label, and the fact that 24-month Sulas have shiny, plastic caps, while 6-month ones have muted, matte-looking caps.
Recently, I wondered if the thickness of the 6-month formula effected the polish's lasting power(the polish dries in a thick rubbery finish, which makes it easy for the paint to snag). Several days ago, I added 6 drops of water to each of my bottles, stirred them and let them set for a day. The next day they were visibly thinner and wonderfully smooth...Read more

So disappointed...,

This review is from: Sula - Paint & Peel Nail Polish (Misc.)
I have this nail polish in Dove. When I found it, I was so excited because I'd been searching for that color grey for months. Once the polish dries, however, the color was much darker, and was really more of a raisin-y mocha than anything close to dove grey. In addition to the finished color disappointment, I was also majorly put off by the instant chipping of the polish. I don't do anything overly taxing to my hands or nails, and this polish chipped within minutes (even after I tried it again, with a good base coat to try to anchor it). I guess it sort of peels itself off, with or without your permission. When I decided to peel it off (after the first day, because it looked so crappy on the ends of my nails), it wasn't overly difficult, but I did feel like I was damaging my nails a little. I'm all for non-toxic polishes, but Sula needs to seriously revamp this formula.

This nail polish is lots of fun. I saw it at "ULTA" a beauty supply store that is very similar to Sephora (but about two or three times as big! =)
When I first saw this nail polish I knew my little niece would love this. Its great for kids/teens. This is just not a 'serious' product for adults. Go to the professionals and get a straight up manicure if you're so fussy =)
...Or just use regular nail polish =)
Anyways....great product!!! It was about $8.00 today at the store - and I loved it so much (for my niece, and also I just tested it out again on my finger nails and love to peel it off - It reminds me of when I was a teen and used to put this 'clear - gel' stuff on my face - let it dry - and I would peel it off my face!! Fun Fun) Anyways I thought there would be GREAT reviews because its such a fun product. But to my dismay ...there WASNT so I thought I'd add my two cents ;]
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
