It's hot pink and resembles the picture for "perfect pink." At first I thought the distributor mailed me the wrong color, but the labels on the box and on the bottle both read "crimson red." PERFORMANCE. Although I didn't like the color, I liked the "look" of the polish. It looked smooth and it was easy to apply. However,the polish does not "peel off" as described. I prepped my nails as directed on the box--with a rubberized base coat and use two coats of nail polish. When I tried to peel off the polish, it came off in very small chunks with difficulty, and took off the base coat. It looked like it was doing much damage to my nails, so I stopped and ended up using nail polish remover anyway. I had to use more nail polish remover than usual to get this polish off. I was disappointed as I really liked this idea of a plant-based polish that could be removed without traditional nail polish remover. Crimson is a strong, bright, deep red color combined with some blue, resulting in a tiny degree of purple (from wikipedia). It's a good concept, but the colors should be more basic and true to their name and it you don't top-coat it, you'll lose it the next day ( but I guess that's the point). I'd buy another one if the colors were better. |
