Summary: Priti Polish is the exact same polish as diamond cosmetic's- 2010-09-08
Comment: I'm a new nail blogger. After making 2 purchases from Priti Polish, I was informed by a few MUA members & other bloggers that ALL Priti Nail Polishes are a direct copy, same ingredients and colors from Diamond Cosmetics (dot com)
So I checked it out... Diamond Cosmetics is an excellent private label company. It says so right on the site. You can even choose the bottles and print. The only difference is that they sell to the public for $2.50.
"Tulip Tree" is the same color & formula as "Don't Teal My Heart Away" made by Diamond Cosmetics for "The Fight Against Ovarian Cancer" It is being sold for $2.50 with proceeds saving lifes...
"Blue Poppy" is the same color as "Blue Diamond"
And "Sugar Daddy" is the same polish & color as "Amethyst & Diamonds"
(I'll come back and list more, after I can get to my polishes)
I bought quit a few polishes from Diamond Cosmetics (dot com) to compare the nail polishes.
Then emailed the owner of Priti Polish "Kim D'Amato" kim(at)pritinyc dot com.
"She told me her Priti Polishes are the same as Diamond Cosmetics polishes, but the names are changed to Flowers -"
Okay, I felt ripped. But I learned to check these companies out :)
The owner (Kim) emailed me back to explain that all Polish companies do this under private labels; which Diamond Cosmetics does do for other nail polish companies too.
What bothered me the most - other than spending $12. more for the same polish I've bought at $2.50 at diamond cosmetics; is that the owner also told me in an email I could share...
Is that there are only 2 companies in the whole USA that makes polishes - so most all are copycats.
Don't worry that is not true...
But Please! Check into this- if you put the polish that you're looking to purchase in your search bar, many blogs will come up to show what color & formula is the same at diamond cosmetics (dot com) for only $2.50.
I hope this helps!
