O.P.I Nail Laquer Nicki Minaj Collection, Super Bass Shatter Shade

I ordered this polish online assuming that it was the authentic opi color. When I received the polish it looked a little lighter than i expected. After doing some research it turns out that this is a replica of the original color. It's not that it's a bad color, it's just not legit!

I was very excited for the Nicki Minaj line to come out, and I bought this polish first. It's gorgeous! In many glitter polishes, it's a challenge to get your nails completely covered in glitter; they're better as top coats. This went on so smoothly and I had full coverage with two coats! (I did put on three for extra sparkle) It's especially pretty in sunlight because the glitter shines like diamonds. I used an OPI topcoat to seal it and my manicure is chip-free two weeks later! Plus, I've gotten a TON of compliments on it! Everyone remarks how lovely it is and wants to know where to get it. I love this color so much, I even bought a second bottle.

The thing you need to know about shatter nail polish is that whatever color you want your nails to be "mainly" must be the shatter color. So I love purple and was very excited for this color to come out in shatter. I've read the other reviews and personally I haven't had any issues, or problems with the color. Because the purple is a very deep purple shade, you have to be sure to use a light base color, otherwise you won't be able to see the shatter color underneath come out very well. The purple shade is very very dark, kind of like the purple color that if you look at it in certain lights it looks almost black, but of course that's after a clear nail polish coat was put over it because a clear nail polish coat changes the shade of shatter polishes dramatically.
