I was convinced that I was going to love "Fresh Frog of Belair" because I love Kermit and I love OPI. I was sorely disappointed. I had used "Gone Gonzo" and apart from its difficulty of removal I did think that it was a pretty color, but even though this is the "same" line, the formula is not similar enough to make this a great polish.

Like "Gone Gonzo," "Fresh Frog of Belair" is a clear polish with green microglitter and large silver glitter in it. It took SEVEN coats of this polish to cover my nails, and the coverage is still not good. It looks like a cheap drugstore polish and does not cover the edges of my nail or the tips. It looks like I have been digging in gravel and the manicure is brand new. Like other OPI polishes that have this large silver glitter, the ends of my nails were sharp enough to score glass and I had to file them after they were polished. Like all glitter polishes, you must put a solid green base coat down first in order to get the correct "Kermity" color. There are a lot of fabulous greens in the OPI line of polishes that will work perfectly for this! Or do what I like to do and layer it over black or a brilliant yellow! Absolutely beautiful!....the yellow kind of gives you a John Deere feel. Fun!

I purchased this polish in a salon. I absolutely love green and a fun sparkle for the holidays or St. Patricks day is an added bonus. I have silk wrap nails, cut short and I had just gotten them polished with OPI "Here today Aragon Tomorrow", a very dark green (love dark colors) and I decided to coat them with the Fresh Frog of Belair for a fun Holiday sparkle. I put on two coats of Fresh Frog of Belair on top of my already polished "here today Aragon tomorrow (2 coats from salon). I did not put on a top coat, I sprayed them with quick dry (purchased here on Amazon for cheap!). I took a picture of the finished result, today, 5 days after I originally painted them with Fresh Frog of Belair. They look awesome. With ANY glitter nail polish, you have to have a solid undercoat in order to get the glitter color (green) to really show, You can't expect the polish to work by itself if it is just glitter.
