I would reccomend these shades for people who want a pop of color during the summer but aren't too happy about going neon bright. I picked up 3 of the shades (courtesy of Ulta's buy 2 get 1 free). The consistency on these colors is really good, it went on opaque in just two coats, it wasn't watery or too thick, and not streaky. I am currently wearing the Lapis of Luxury color and it is absolutely gorgeous, it looks like ocean blue with hints of periwinkle. I've gotten compliments on it already, including a painter who said it was a very unique shade. I can't wait to try the other shades, these are perfect for summer. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Essie Turquoise & Caicos 720 Nail Polish (Health and Beauty) So, as you all probably know- this colour was raved about all Summer long. I just brought myself to buy this 14 dollar nail polish- and I do enjoy it! i think the colour is super unique, and will work for all year long! The only con, is that it seemed to be super watery, and when adding two coats, I found that it would smudge even waiting for an hour. I defently does not dry quickly, so my nails are always smudged. Today, I tried doing 4 very thin coats of this nail polish. Each time i let it dry for 5 minutes. I feel like this worked much better, and it didn't smudge one bit! I'm not sure if I will be spending anymore of my money on Essie nail polish- but I truly enjoy this colour a ton! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Essie Lapis of Luxury 717 (creme) (Misc.) I first saw this color while looking at the Turquoise color from the same collection, but when I saw this one I knew I needed to try it. I'm so happy that I did, the color is so pretty and unique - I haven't found another comparable color from any other brand. You'll definitely need 2 coats, but I find that 3 gives the best color and coverage. It lasts without chipping (with no base or top coat) for about 5-7 days (longer if you are more gentle with your hands). |
