Like all Essie colors I've tried so far, Lady Like dries darker than it appears in the bottle. I was a little skeptical at first, but purchased it anyway. I'm very happy I did. My mom loved the color on me so much she wanted to try it on her nails. This is one of those colors that seems to look better on longer nails than on short ones. On my shade of brown this color looks rather neutral. Not flesh tone or nude, as it's in the mauve family, but neutral in that it would be appropriate for any occasion. It doesn't stand out too much, yet it's still quite pretty.

Of the 3 colors I have from the fall 2011 collection, Carry On is my favorite. It dries darker than it appears in the bottle, but not so dark that you lose the purple. I've tried other dark purples/plums by other brands but they were just too dark. This was just right!

I really like this color even though I was hoping it would be closer to a burnt orange color (since I'm a UT fan), but it's still a really nice color and as always (in my experience, at least) Essie's polish is top notch! Now, if only my manicure skills were on par with it's quality...Thanks again, rockandglamorize!

beautiful color, slightly darker than pictured but very glamorous. with two coats this color comes out closer to grey. Order went smoothly, was extremely satisfied.
