play date is much prettier than just a pastel purple. i can't even explain how much i adore this color. everyone and their grandmother compliments me when i wear it! i love essie because i have real nails, and essie polish chips less frequently on real nails (as opposed to say opi or chanel for example). if you want to try on a funky color that's unique- i suggest you buy it!

I was so thrilled when I ordered this polish... it was difficult to find (and way more expensive than others)... After picking it up in the mail I saw a bottle at Walmart and decided to buy it since I've seen pictures on the web and I love blue... I was a little dissapointed usually Essie's fall within a close range of what the bottle says but this one seemed a little different... It might have been the fact that I used it with "Bobbing for baubles" but people seemed to think this was a green polish! I just hope it would look a little more bluish...

This color is MUCH darker than the picture. It's not teal, more dark green.
The quality is great - only one coat necessary. The color was disappointing.
